Moisture Transfer
Innova yarns are the least absorbent of the textile fibers. They do not wet out. In fact our yarns "adsorb" water, moving moisture in the vapor phase to the outside of the fabric, never holding any moisture. An added benefit is the breathability of Innova. The moisture moves away from the skin in the vapor stage, before it has condensed on the skin. Condensation on the skin gives rise to a feeling of clamminess.

Thermal Conductivity
Innova yarns possess the lowest thermal conductivity of any natural or synthetic fiber. This means more heat is retained for a longer length of time. The wearer stays warmer longer. The insulation factor is greater by weight for Innova than any other fiber:

Cotton - 17.5

lower numbers indicate superior insulating properties.

Quick Dry
Because Innova does not absorb moisture into the fiber, drying time is minimal. The fabric will dry while you wear it.

Performance

Low Specific Gravity
Innova yarns are the lightest of all apparel fibers and are lighter than water. They are 40% lighter than polyester and 25% lighter than nylon. Regardless of the activity, weight saved means energy is saved for improved performance. You get more bulk and warmth for less weight.

Colorfast
Innova yarns are precolored by AF&Y in the liquid stage so the color in the fiber is part of the fiber itself. Why is this significant? Innova will hold color indefinitely. During outdoor activities, washing or wear and tear, your garment stays looking newer longer. Who said outdoor enthusiasts don't want to look good?

Odor Resistant
Bacteria, mold and mildew can not grow on Innova, and will not damage the fiber. A garment that is washed regularly with hot or warm water and detergent will not retain body odors. Machine wash warm or hot, and hang dry or low tumble dry.

Abrasion Resistant
Innova yarns are durable fibers, and will withstand a lot of wear and tear. This will help preserve those pressure points where clothing tends to wear, like in the seat.

Chemically Resistant
Innova will not react to ordinary chemicals, body salts or sweat and will not degrade in their presence. Why is this significant? If you wash with bleach and harsh detergents, Innova yarns will not break, degrade or fade.
